For years, fans of Rihanna have been pronouncing her name wrong and now they are freaking out.
During an interview with British Vogue, Rihanna introduces herself with a different pronunciation.
Instead of saying “Ri-ah-na”, the singer said, “Hello, British Vogue, it’s ‘Ree-anna.’”
Fans reacted and are now questioning how to really pronounce her name. One fan wrote “so we’ve been pronouncing Rihanna‘s name wrong this whole time?”
Another added, “All of y’all who say you don’t pronounce Rihanna with a hard ‘Ah’ on the ‘anna’ are lying unprovoked.”
