Relative of Pilot in Kobe Bryant Crash Says the Passengers are at Fault, Knew the Risks

A relative of the pilot, Ara George Zobayan, who was flying the helicopter that killed Kobe and Gianna Bryant, claims the people on board were responsible for the crash. The pilot had to circle around the area for 15 minutes before being cleared to fly to the Mamba Academy. He was going 184 MPH in foggy conditions when he crashed into a hill. Kobe's widow Vanessa Bryant is suing over the crash. The pilot’s relative has answered Vanessa Bryant's lawsuit against Ara and the helicopter company, Island Express, saying the passengers knew the risks of flying, and assumed the risk, so they are at fault. Island Express also filed an answer to Vanessa's suit, claiming Kobe and Gianna "had actual knowledge of all of the circumstances, particular dangers, and an appreciation of the risks involved." The helicopter company also claims it’s not at fault for the crash, saying the plaintiffs, third parties, and/or an act of God contributed to it.
