Netflix has picked up the rights to make a sequel to "Beverly Hills Cop", with Eddie Murphy set to star and Jerry Bruckheimer set to produce.
It's a one-time licensing deal between Netflix and Paramount to produce the latest reboot of the "Beverly Hills Cop" franchise. Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are on board to direct the long-awaited fourth installment of the series.
The first three Beverly Hills Cop films were released in 1984, 1987, and 1994, respectively, and earned a total of $735.5 million worldwide.
