Netflix Making A Movie About The Grandma Who Invited A Stranger To Thanksgiving Dinner

Netflix is making a movie about the grandmother Wanda Dench in Arizona who accidentally invited a stranger (Jamal Hinton) to Thanksgiving dinner.

“The Thanksgiving Text” will tell the true tale that began in 2016, when the woman thought she was texting her grandson to check if he would be coming over for the holiday.

Apparently, she had the wrong cell phone number.

She actually texted a high school senior at the time, who accepted her invitation anyway… and he has attended her Thanksgiving dinner every year since.
