Nearly 154 Million Americans Are Under Winter Weather Advisories, Millions Without Power

Nearly 154 million Americans were under some sort of winter weather alert yesterday (Monday).

The severe winter weather has sparked emergency declarations in at least seven states, including Alabama, Oregon, Oklahoma, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi and Texas.

And millions of customers across the country had no power as of yesterday afternoon because of the storm system that brought snow, ice and cold temperatures to several states.

As of last night, 5 million customers in Texas were still without power.
