H.E.R. To Make Acting Debut In ‘The Color Purple’ Movie Musical

H.E.R. is set to make her acting debut in “The Color Purple” movie musical.

The “Changes” singer will play Squeak who goes from a juke joint waitress to an aspiring singer.

Oprah Winfrey, who had her feature acting debut in the original “The Color Purple” movie and earned an Oscar nomination, is producing via her Harpo Films banner.

The musical is set to hit theaters on December 20, 2023.
