Goodwill stores across the US are telling people to stop donating trash.
The thrift stores have been flooded by household items during the pandemic due to people who have been homebound for months that are eager to clear out some of their possessions.
But many of these items are considered trash and can’t be resold like moldy furniture, and flammable and hazardous donations including lead acid batteries.
These donations are a hassle to dispose of and increase their garbage-disposal costs.
