Detroit Post Office Renamed To Honor Aretha Franklin

A post office in Detroit was posthumously named for Aretha Franklin… honoring the late singer in her hometown.
The office, officially called the “Aretha Franklin Post Office Building” is near an amphitheater named for the legendary singer.
Franklin died in 2018 in Detroit in her home at age 76 due to advanced pancreatic cancer.
