CNN suspended its star anchor Chris Cuomo indefinitely after saying that he provided ever MORE assistance to his brother Andrew over sexual misconduct allegations than he had previously admitted to.
The network released a statement saying, “The New York attorney general's office released transcripts and exhibits Monday that shed new light on Chris Cuomo's involvement in his brother's defense.”
The statement continued, “When Chris admitted to us that he had offered advice to his brother's staff, he broke our rules and we acknowledged that publicly… However, these documents point to a greater level of involvement in his brother's efforts than we previously knew.”
They suspended him “Indefinitely, pending further evaluation.”
Anderson Cooper will cover for Cuomo with his 8 p.m. show extended from one hour to two.
