Chicago Police ‘Lounging’ In Congressman’s Bobby Rush’s Burglarized Office During Looting

Several cops in Chicago were captured on video relaxing inside the recently-burglarized office of a congressman while nearby businesses were looted.

Mayor Lori Lightfoot says surveillance video taken inside Congressman Bobby Rush’s campaign office shows a group ofofficers sitting, making popcorn and in one case napping, “while small businesses on the South Side were looted and burned.”

The police union president defended the officers saying he heard officers wanted to protect Rush’s office from further damage.... and the looting was over by the time officers were caught relaxing on camera.
