Baseball Fan Caught on Mic Yelling N-Word at Marlins' Lewis Brinson (Video)

A baseball fan shouted racial slurs toward a Black Miami Marlins player during his at-bat in their contest against the Colorado Rockies on Sunday.

During the ninth inning of the game at Coors Field in Denver, a fan begins to shout the N-word toward Marlins outfielder Lewis Brinson, who is Black, at his final at-bat.

The fan’s remarks were picked up and heard on the Bally Sports broadcast of the game.

Reaction from those in the sports world was swift on social media with Marlins’ play-by-play commentator Paul Severino tweeting that the fan remarks have “no place in this world.”

He added, “I’m absolutely disgusted at the language that was picked up by the mics late in the game today..."

The Rockies said in a statement the team was "disgusted" at what had happened.

The fan hasn't been identified, however "the Rockies are still investigating the incident."
