A University of Wisconsin-Madison graduate has resigned from her teaching job after lying about being black.
CV Vitolo-Haddad, who identifies as non-binary and is Southern Italian and Sicilian, pretended to be black or Latino on multiple occasions. Vitolo-Haddad confessed in two Mediumblog posts saying on three separate instances,when others asked about being black, the grad student did not say no.
The teacher apologized for 'every ounce of heartbreak and betrayal' caused and resigned from the teaching assistant job at the university as well as the role of co-president of the Teaching Assistants' Association.
This comes one week after Jessica Krug, a white professor at George Washington University, resigned from her role after confessing she had been faking being black for years.
