Scientists think a coronavirus treatment could be just weeks away.  
 
 A doctor in the Department of Pathology at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore has been pursuing two different treatment strategies, one of which has a long history and could be available within weeks rather than months.
 
 The quickest option is likely to be the use of antibodies from recovered coronavirus patients.  
 
 Serum from recovered patients has been used in the past to stem outbreaks of viral diseases such as measles, mumps and influenza.
