Barber To Pay $80K To HIV Positive Customer After Refusing Haircut

In 2017, Nikko Briteramos was turned away from a Los Angeles barbershop

King of Kuts , despite getting his haircut several times before.

Things changed once a barber disclosed to the shop’s owner that the customer was HIV positive.

His next appointment a barber came out and told the customer not to come back because they have a celebrity clientele.

That decision cost the barbershop just over $80,000. Last week, a judge ruled that the barbershop will need to pay out $75,000 plus additional court fees to the customer who filed a lawsuit last year.

Because the barbershop never responded to the suit, the judge ruled in the customer’s favor.
